Hong Kong Travel - how to get to Macau in Hong Kong

Macau is right in front of the Bay of Hong Kong and many visitors to international city Asia spend at least one or two days of their vacation in this fascinating city, old Chinese temples are European neighbours baroque churches and glitzy casinos and where Portuguese lifestyle co-exists alongside Chinese traditions. This article will show you the best ways to get from Hong Kong, Macao and vice versa.

As you may already know, ferry is using more than 95% of passengers on this line. There is also a helicopter service, but it is very expensive and speak honestly, do save you that many temps.donc, why not let chopper for conscious businessmen time?

Ferries leave from two major terminals at Hong Kong (other than the wharf sky airport, which is not relevant to this article): namely Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan on the island of Hong Kong and China Ferry Terminal, HK of Tsim sha Tsui, Kowloon side.

They work 24/7 and arrive at the ferry main terminal to Macau, which is a fairly convenient place to begin your trip to Macau from (unless you want only for a night of games of chance, which in this case, you can take the CotaiJet directly to casino flashy broadband in Macau).

(1) The bright red Jet engines is a fast ferry which covers how to Macau in a little less than an hour.It leaves every fifteen minutes during the day and all thirty minutes during the night and leaves of Macau Hong Kong ferry terminal to Sheung wan/central, on the island.

Easily accessible on foot from the MTR station, Star Ferry Pier or the Airport Express station Terminal.Unique travel approximately 140 $ HK to the time of writing and a little more than this on weekends.

(2) If you want to travel from Kowloon, first Macau Ferry differs Tsim Sha Tsui every thirty minutes, from 7 a.m. until minuit.Temps travel is also an hour and the price range is similar to that of turbojet engines

(3) Those of you who are not interested in a night game, good food and entertainment belt of Cotai and Venetian, can take advantage of this new CotaiJet service that takes passengers to the temporary ferry terminal to Macau Taipa Island (from where a free coach takes you to the band of Cotai itself).

CotaiJet Tsim sha HK China Ferry Terminal Tsui, leave every 30 minutes (every hour a night), between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. time travel is, once again, one hour and costs basic ticket HK $ 134 a way at the time of writing.

Macau, CotaiJet ferries depart every 30 minutes (each one hour at night and every two hours late in the night.), between 7: 30 a.m. to 5 p.m., which means you can party night in the Venetian and do return to Hong Kong, just in time for the small lunch.

And to conclude this article, here are a few important points, you should note:

o Although Hong Kong and Macau are both part of China, they are two separate administrative regions, which means that you will need to bring your Passport with you and check what are the requirements for Macau, visa before (as if you can reinstate HK without visa, once you are back) .the good new is that HK Macau both and very lenient when it comes to tourist visa policy.

o tickets may be purchased at the terminal ferry himself, however, ticketing office close to surrounding 10 pm, so if you plan to travel by night, make sure you buy tickets in advance (or online) when any case, try to come at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure time.

o luggage access (on the permissible 20 kg) should be paid for by espèces.Il is really hard to believe, you will need to do something more for your or two days of vacation to Macao.Mais it is better to know these things front, other than to run around the Terminal, looking for an ATM.

The two main to stay at the hotel East Asian pros are, first of all, its excellent location in a side street in the city centre, at a short walk from many of Macau attractions and heritage sites, and, secondly, its extremely reasonable rates which were one of the most popular among many markets of Macau hotels.

As expected in a cheap hotel Macau, there is nothing bright and glamorous staff speak much and English (at least), but the rooms are fairly decent, in terms of size and appearance and come with most of the stuff that you need, such as air conditioning, mini fridge, TV, telephone and the who, thus reasonable time bathroom

Overall, if you plan to spend a lot of your time outside of the hotel and your expectations are not higher than your budget, to stay in this Macao cheap hotel is certainly one of your best options.

o Hotel SanVa

This almost historical housing has much to offer in terms of character and charisma, but rather little in terms of comfort and facilities...

Strategically located at the end of the bottom of history Rua da Felicidade, just an arrow from many historical attractions in Macau and night spots this proud to be the oldest existing Macao, pension 100 years property and although most of the rooms is only ceiling aerated and have not yet private bathrooms, support a lot of atmosphere (and a relatively low rate) so you will want to consider it after all (on the other hand, there are rumors on the renovation, that I am writing these lines... but don't hold me for it)

o London Ole hotel

Standing at the upper end of the range of economic hotels, this recently renovated property is perhaps the most popular among the hotels many markets of Macau, and while it may be just a little too expensive for backpackers, it makes a great choice for the budget-oriented tourists who are looking for a decent housing at a fair price (especially if you plan to spend more time to explore the city and then hung around of the hotel).

Located in the old inner Porto, a few minutes walk from the historic attractions, restaurants and shops, city and not far from the Hotel Lisbon and "casinos belt", this cheap Macao Hotel has 60 well-decked air-conditioned bedrooms are comfortable and properly equipped with the amenities you can expect to find in a hotel of such standards as a whole shebang

o Hotel Sintra

The Palace is certainly a notch above the way cheap hotel in Macao, but discounts special, that it offers on a regular basis making it affordable even for those tourists on the budget, which would be otherwise opt for a simpler hotel...

In terms of location, Hotel Sintra is located on the corner of more central Macao: a jet of Pierre de Hotel Lisboa and other glitzy Casino and a short stroll Senado Square and heritage around it.

The hotel facilities are rather limited, but rooms are particularly spacious and come with all the comforts that you expect from a luxurious semi or even luxury hotel, and as long as your idea at Macau vacation does not include of lazing around in the pool, the Sintra could be the right choice for you.

Close to Hong Kong Macau is one of the best places to be, especially if you are looking for a relaxing stay in a grand hotel. There are many options of tours to Macau, but the main highlight of Macau is varied with their map reading table and slot machines casinos. Almost all major hotels have their own casinos and the Chinese people throng these casinos and play their hearts out. The Chinese people are games of chance and many of them come to Macau in Shanghai and Beijing, to play. In addition to the casinos, the other major landmark of the Macao is Tower of Macau, which is one of the highest towers in the world. You can see all top-level Macau and if you have a heart string then you can also do break bungy Tower. The view is worrying, but is the price of $ 5,000 in Hong Kong which is scarier. A place sacred to Macau where each room likes to go is A Ma temple. Here people come to pray for their goddess my make money through their hard work and also the game.Another point of interest is St. Pauls Cathédrale.Il is a church that was built in 1602 and was the first Jesuit College. Macau attractions - 7 unique to Macau, if you try to visit museums

Macau is best known as "the Vegas of Orient" and millions of travelers visit its magnificent casinos each year. Therefore, it is a little odd to write about Macau as a "Museum city", but when it is true that most of the museums of the city is not yet as big as a single corner in the Louvre or the Metropolitan, some of them are very unique and was visiting.

This article will guide you in seven unique museums that you should try to visit to Macao.

) 1 The Museum Macau's Grand Prix: naturally, I would have started an article on "museums in Macao" with the Museum of Macao, itself, however, I decided to start with the Museum of Macao, Grand Prix this small and well presented Museum appeals to almost everyone, including those who normally don't find museums interesting...

Macau Grand Prix was a better known international event of the city for over fifty years now, and the "Guia Circuit" has acquired a reputation track demanding Street in the world.

In the Museum you can see all these famous cars and motorcycles that actually made history on Macau Grand Prix, in true retro modern "road killers" which may accelerate as fast as an aircraft... Expectedly, there are lots of interesting information about drivers who once ruled the circuit, including the names known as Ayrton Senna, Michael and Ralf Schumacher and David Coulthard, among others.

Next to the small Museum of the wine, bears is also useful to visit (especially since you are there anyway) .Macao has absolutely nothing to do with the production of wine, but it was colonized for hundreds of years by Portugal, which is a country of wine significatif.Le Museum takes the visitor through the production of wine, techniques and technologies, culture and same festivals focused on wine and customs story... As expected, there is a little too much wine tasting.

2) Delivery of gifts Museum of Macao is housed in an ultra modern building which is exactly where the ceremony 1999 took place and highlights all those gifts given to Macau and his people by different advice from China. Each donation is a true piece of art, unique in the region where came, and reflects the special skills of the population of this region.

3) Macao Museum: housed in what used to harder of Macau, the Macau Museum tells the fascinating history of this unique city and it might lack impressive features which have some "national" museums around the world, it compensates with very interesting exhibitions and an atmosphere somewhat Muray which is so much that Macau is all about.

4) De Macau Maritime Museum: there are certainly better maritime museums in the world than it, but that of Macao has a very nice collection of replicas of old and Chinese, Portuguese vessels model worth to see.Ancient navigation instrument they showcase is also interesting.

5) The Fire Services Museum of Macao (Museu dos Bombeiros): this tiny Museum is housed in a historic of 1920s that once served as the headquarters of the Macau fire services, and that you will not need more than 15-20 minutes to cover building the it engine fire vintage will still have their charm.

6) Taipa Houses Museum (Museu Casas da Taipa) includes a row of five beautiful colonial houses, Manor to accommodate families of Portuguese well heels return in the years 1920. today, each houses displays another theme and one of the five, La maison de Macanese is probably the most interesting, because it gives insight into the life of a rich family of Macanese at the beginning of the 20th century, including all furniture, utensils and other bits and pieces.

7) Flax Zexu Memorial Museum is a very small museum, located in the North of Macau, the Canidrome, and although it is not really big or sophisticated, it is well worth visiting, especially if you like the history as it outlines one of the most fascinating moments in modern history.

The Museum focuses on the history of Lin Zexu: a senior officer during the dynasty Qing, who is remembered primarily for his stubborn fight against smuggling of opium by the British in Guangzhou, a fight that triggered firing of the famous first opium war between 1839 and 1842.
